Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

I just attended a Cardiac conference. The speaker, a cardiologist  emphasized the importance of getting an AED to an adult who has had a witnessed collapse as soon as possible. If good CPR is started along with defibrillation within the first few minutes, you have a good chance of saving the person’s life.

So when you’re out and about especially in areas where there are large numbers of people look around for the AED. See symbol above.

It is also a good idea to learn how to use it. It is not difficult.

Remember we must all look out for each other.
