Infant and Child CPR and Choking. In-home and Chatham.
Class time:
Approximately 2-3 hours
This class is not over until every participant is comfortable performing the techniques learned.
Description:
This class is based on the American Heart Association Family & Friends Guidelines. By the end of the class, you will:
- Recognize the need for infant and child CPR
- Understand the common reasons an infant or child would stop breathing or become unresponsive
- Know the CAB's of Infant & Child CPR
- Know the symptoms of mild and severe choking in an infant and child
- Know choking maneuvers for an infant and child
- Know when to call for help
- Know what to do for a pregnant woman choking
- You're pregnant...how to save a choking child without hurting yourself
- Know how to take care of yourself if you're alone and choking
- Know adult CPR and compressions only CPR (Does not include hands-on practice)
This class is a must for expectant parents, parents, family members, babysitters, nannies and anyone taking care of infants and children.
This class primarily covers and includes hands-on practice on infants and children mannequins.

First Aid For Children (Parents and caretakers).
Class time:
Approximately 90 minutes.
Description:
We will discuss common medical, surgical and environmental emergencies including the following:

There will be some hands-on training.
We will also review the contents of a well stocked First Aid kit, Epi pen use and when and how to call for help.

This class is a must for parents, family members, babysitters, nannies and anyone else taking care of infants and children. It teaches emergency care so they can instantly react when faced with life-saving decisions to protect and keep a child safe.

Baby Zone & Beyond “CPR” party

This is a wonderful and fun way to get your training without leaving home. Get your friends, family, babysitters, nannies, mommy groups together and host an in-home training workshop. The class covers everything in the Infant and Child CPR & Choking class. See the description above. You can have up to 10 participants, and for groups of 8 the host will receive a free copy of "Saving Baby's Life...When Every Second Counts"!
Cost:
5-10 participants $60 per person. (Includes handouts).

Daycare Certification classes (Special pricing).
Description
Daycare and Childcare workers have specific needs and concerns when taking a CPR and First Aid training class. Baby Zone & Beyond LLC addresses these specific needs.

Infant/Child/Adult CPR plus AED
Course includes a practical hands-on training on mannequins with special emphasis on Infant & Child training.

American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric First Aid Certification.
Class time 2 1/2 hours.
Includes First Aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.
Course includes skills practice, including Epinephrine pen, stopping bleeding.
Also inludes overview of different respiratory treatments for children.

Certification classes

This course is for lay-people who need CPR certification to fulfill a job requirement: daycare workers, coaches, personal trainers, private babysitters, nannies, home care workers and medical assistants.

This course is for lay-people who need certification to fulfill a job requirement: teachers, daycare workers, personal trainers, health education teachers or any person who needs First Aid certification.
Includes First Aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.

Healthcare provider course

Class description:
This course is designed for Healthcare Providers; Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Safety Personnel Police, Ambulance, Athletic Trainers, Professional Rescuers, Emergency Response teams, etc.
It covers all material in our CPR course and includes American Heart Guidelines for the Professional Rescuer. We follow the American Heart Association's ECC 2010 guidelines (the latest) for Healthcare Providers with video demonstration of all "hands-on" techniques for CPR and the use of an AED.

Infant Massage
Class time

Description
Bring your baby and do hands-on massage for complete relaxation, improved sleep patterns, release of tension for parent and baby, relief of baby's gas and constipation, regulation of body systems and increased parenting confidence.
This class is ideal for babies from three weeks to six months.

- Better understand water safety
- Learn about Dry Drowning
- Recognize the need for and know how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
