Geraldine Hickey RN

Geraldine Hickey is founder and owner of Baby Zone & Beyond LLC.

She is an RN and midwife. She has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit at Overlook Medical Center in Summit NJ since 1985. Throughout the years she saw parents take their babies home from the hospital well equipped to change diapers but having absolutely no idea how to save their baby should they stop breathing.

She made it her mission to teach each one how to act quickly and save their baby’s life should the need arise, and subsequently started Baby Zone and Beyond LLC. Since then she has trained thousands of parents, family members, nannies, babysitters.

Geraldine has been featured on Fox, WPIX Channel 7 and The NJ Star Ledger for her expertise.

She takes her own health seriously and is an avid fitness enthusiast who believes that good health and wellness starts with the parents. She has run the NY City marathon and numerous half marathons. Geraldine’s passion is teaching families how to stay safe and well. Her motto in life as in emergencies is “Every Second Counts”.

Thank you! Geraldine's infant safety class was just what we needed as we navigated our first few weeks with our newborn. We were able to really understand the steps we would need to take in case of an emergency. We also got a wealth of other information about SIDS and things to look for with our new baby. Geraldine did a wonderful job incorporating videos into her Zoom class which helped us to visualize each step. She also took the time to answer any additional questions we had and explained anything if we were unsure about a certain step or part. Taking this class was over Zoom was extremely convenient for us, especially with a newborn at home! Thank you Geraldine!

Geraldine - Thank you very much! It was a great class and we all learned so much. I believe we all definitely feel better prepared now in case of an emergency. I certainly will be practicing on a regular basis! I personally, thought the class was great! My husband and I really liked how you walked us through different scenarios and were able to individually practice with you helping us. Hi Geraldine, Thank you so much for such an informative evening on Friday! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and all of the knowledge you had to offer us. Those life-saving tips are certainly invaluable. We will all be reviewing the CPR and first-aid procedures, so that we have everything down pat.
